Art was not presented as an actual option for making a living, said Ginger Danz.Originally from Indiana, Ginger moved to Boise ID after graduate school where she met her husband. In 1998 they moved to Charleston WV.

She worked as a professional counselor for about 18 years. During this time she created art as an escape but also incorporated it into her counseling work with adolescents.
