Michael Teel went to college at West Virginia State University, then onto The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He worked as a graphic designer for 28 years. He is a member of the West Virginia Allied Artists and has exhibited in several juried art shows throughout the state.

Recently he had two pieces selected for the West Virginia Culture and History Juried Show. “Friends of Fossilized Carbon” won an Award of Excellence.
