ArtVoiceWV: Nathan Baker

Nathan Baker is metalwork artist. His art is reframed everyday items; what he calls upcycling. His inspiration is a creative mind that reinterprets and repurposes found metal objects. “Observing light and reflections”, he says, “doing whatever it is that light and reflections do has always been of great enjoyment to me.”

Nathan hails from Grand Rapids, MI. After graduating from college with a degree in creative writing, Nathan originally found work in construction. One benefit of this experience was he assembled some valuable “tools of the trade” that allowed him to turn the
“discarded refuse our society into more elegant assemblages that continues to fascinate and inspire.” With three friends, he opened The White Room Art Gallery in Thomas, WV. Learn more about Nathan here – http://nathanbakerart.com.
